IvySmart’s After-School Program encompasses the same ideals represented in our summer program.
We offer a pick-up service from most of the schools in the greater Torrance and Palos Verdes areas for a fee. This means parents don’t have to worry about dropping their children off after school.
The After-School Program is open from Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. We alternate curriculum with Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays focusing on English and writing and Tuesdays and Thursdays focusing on math.
Students in the program get a chance to not only receive help with the school homework they are assigned, but their learning is supplemented with the classes. The after-school program is the perfect place for your child to work on bad procrastination habits, get extra help, or provide a studious, academic environment to help them excel with their schoolwork.
If a student requires even more supplemental tutoring services, Ivy can also arrange one-on-one tutoring regarding most, if not all, subjects. One-on-one tutoring services are great for students who require personal help with certain subjects.
Our small class sizes and close student-teacher interaction ensure that students who are struggling with their studies are given enough supplemental help. IvySmart takes pride in offering one of the most extensive after-school programs currently offered!

PSAT/SAT ProgramOne of the primary goals of Ivy League School is to cater to the needs of high school students who need to take the SAT. The SAT is a standardized test that is used by colleges to place students for admission. A great SAT score goes a long way in establishing the student’s credibility and providing colleges with a way to gauge the student’s academic strength and eligibility for the specific college.
IvySmart offers dedicated guidance to help our students realize dreams of being accepted into prestigious colleges and universities from Ivy League universities to the universities of California. Over the past two decades, 96% of our students have been accepted into UCs, with 60% acceptance into UCLA, UC Berkeley, and other Ivy League universities.
PSAT: The PSAT practice test allows students to experience the general academic requirements of the SAT without being too committed regarding time and finances. In our PSAT program, individual tests are given every week alternating between English and Math, with the teachers covering the test material after each successive test date. This program is a great way for younger students to try SAT-level questions and gauge their prowess when it comes to preparing for the SAT.
SAT: IvySmart’s SAT prep program is one of the most comprehensive programs offered in the Southbay area. Our SAT curriculum encompasses five SAT subjects: math, writing, reading and comprehension, and grammar. The program meets twice a week—on Fridays and Saturdays—with Friday including math tutoring and Saturday comprising of the English tutoring and a full (three and a half hours long) SAT mock-test. Students are thoroughly tested on the material necessary to obtain a competitive SAT score. Most who take it enjoy an aggregate of a 300-point increase after completing the program.
